Facility Manager - South Hedland in INDEE, Western Australia

YMCA Perth has formed dynamic partnerships with the Department of Housing and BHP Billiton that will see all organisations contribute to the management and delivery of a new and exciting, innovative student housing facility in South Hedland - Mirnutharntu Maya. The key aim of Mirnutharntu Maya is to provide affordable supported accommodation that assists the apprentices and trainees to complete their studies and to build life skills so they are able to live independently once they leave Mirnutharntu Maya.
The facility is due to be opened in Aug 2014.
The Role
This role is responsible for overseeing the entire running of the facility including; operations, administration, marketing, staff, support services and financials. This is strictly a live-on site position. This a smoke and alcohol free environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Overseeing the entire running of the facility including; operations, administration, marketing, staff, support services, and financials.
• Ensuring that the target group, staff and visitors to our student housing facility have access to a safe, culturally appropriate, and healthy environment.
• Building and maintaining strong, strategic and collaborative partnerships and relationships with each of the key stakeholders in the community.
• Knowledge, passion and proven ability to deliver a vibrant facility that maintains maximum occupancy and is results orientated so as to make a difference.
This role will suit a highly motivated and organised individual that can demonstrate a successful track record in facility management. You must be able to obtain a National Police Clearance (dated not more than 6 months) and Working with Children Check prior to offer of employment.
